Superior Z cap![]() Superior Z Cap: Even the finest nuances can be heard. The sound never gets over-edged, really superb naturalness with a somewhat bright top-end. Jantzen Audio Z - Superior Caps are absolutely high-end components, delivering a natural, almost holographic soundstage. Even the finest nuances can be heard. Our Superior and Silver Z-Cap Capasitors are an axial type made of metallized polypropylene, especially manufactured for audio purposes. The materials we use, were chosen for the best sonically results in this price class. We use a special machine to wind all our capacitors, so that the capasitors become a very tight reel. This minimizes the inner vibration and keeps microphonic effects as low as possible. The capacitors are available in a wide range of capacitance values with low tolerance. The Superior and Silver caps are all protected against high humidity. Finally, both capacitors are state of art in their price class! NB! All our Superior and Silver Z-caps will show the true picture immediately, so they do not need any burn in time. Technical info and specifications for Z-cap Superior: All our Superior Caps have high grade copper lead wire to secure the excellent qualtity of these caps. We have succeeded to minimize the inner inductance and to produce a fast sounding capacitor via our skilled technique. The capacitor windings are interleaved, so the inductances effectively cancel each other out. These two windings are connected in series. This means, it takes two 2uF windings to make a single 1uF capacitor. This is equal to produce one full 4uF capacity using conventional technology. Humble Home Made Hifi cap test: "Sound: Very neutral and coherent balance, they don’t seem to highlight anything and I mean that in a positive way! They are a little flatter in presentation than their more expensive brother, the Silver Z-Cap but still better than the Clarity Cap SA in depth and spatial information. In direct comparison with a Clarity Cap SA they are less up-front in the lower treble and have a very good texturing of acoustic instruments like a violin for example. In the upper treble they are slightly brighter than a Mundorf Silver/Gold which probably explains the good spatial information and separation. Compared to the Jantzen Audio Silver Z-Cap I find them the more musical of the two and I will definitely add them to my favourites list. Verdict: 10 " |
